His Excellency Mr Ram Nath Kovind, President of the Republic of India, and his wife, Mrs Savita Kovind, visited Australia from 21 to 23 November.
President Kovind’s visit was a historic occasion, the first ever state visit to Australia by an Indian President.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison welcomed news of the visit and said he looks forward to building on the relationship between the two countries.”Our two nations have deep economic, government and people-to-people ties. We are strong democracies and share a longstanding commitment to the rule of law,” he said.
Australia’s Foreign Minister and India’s Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship witnessed the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation in the disability sector, bilateral investment, scientific cooperation, agricultural research and education, and on joint doctoral collaboration.
FLYONIT team were honored with an opportunity to provide IT support to the Indian President’s visit to Melbourne. It was not only a great experience working for The President of India but was a lifetime experience.
We would like to thanks Consulate General of India and Grand Hyatt team for providing all the extended help to make this historic event a success. We wish that this meeting brings stronger ties between India and Australia.
